SLA have considerable expertise in the preparation of both urban and rural site appraisals across the country.
Typically a client will ask us to prepare a site appraisal prior to or shortly after purchase of any given property, and our role involves advising on the development potential of the site having regard to its physical characteristics, zoning provisions, planning precedent, relevant planning policy and Development Plan standards.
This gives a clear picture of any particular site’s planning status and allows assumptions to be made as to the issues likely to arise in the course of a planning application for development on that site.
Furthermore the appraisal process will identify whether supplementary consultants, such as Archaeologists or Arborists, will need to be appointed and whether documentation such as EIS’s, Retail Impact Assessments, Appropriate Assessments etc will be required.
