Shrewsbury Square is located in on Sandymount Avenue, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 and comprises a residential development of 80 apartments and 8 Penthouses all located in 3 blocks, developed by Parkway Partnership and Woodgreen Property Partnership on a site of c. 0.79 Ha. The apartments are set out in three buildings ranging from three to four storeys in height.
Stephen Little & Associates provided strategic planning advice to the applicant and design team, and served as the agent for all four planning applications and subsequent appeal stages. Stephen Little & Associates were retained by Parkway Partnership, and subsequently by Woodgreen Property Partnership as the planning consultants.
This is an innovative and high-end residential development, responsive to the site’s strategic location within Dublin’s embassy belt. Stephen Little & Associates had responsibility for the formation of a development strategy that sought to protect and enhance the surrounding established character and conservation of the area. The development strategy further sought to retain where possible the existing mature trees on the site.
The application was permitted by Dublin City Council, appealed by both first and third parties to An Bord Pleanála and granted with revisions.
