Pelletstown
Pelletstown is a Framework Development Area located in North West Dublin. The overall lands comprise approximately 42 hectares. Dublin City Council produced an Action Area Plan in 2000 to guide the development of 4,000 no. new homes within a design framework of two town centres, commercial areas, bus and rail links, cycle lanes, community facilities and open spaces. The first planning applications for development on the lands were lodged in December 2000 and January 2001 by the major landowners Ballymore Properties and Castlethorn Construction. Since that time, construction has occurred on a phased basis so that the majority of the overall site has now been developed.
