Clare Village comprises 361 apartments and a crèche facility located on the eastern side of the Malahide Road, adjacent to the Clare Hall Shopping Centre. The apartments are set out in three buildings ranging from three to six storeys in height.
Albany Homes Ltd. purchased the site from Tesco Ireland with planning permission for 150 dwelling units. Stephen Little & Associates were then retained by Albany Homes Ltd. to lodge an application for a more innovative residential environment given the site’s strategic location as a gateway to the North Fringe Area. Joseph Doyle Architects were commissioned to design the scheme, along with Camlin Lonsdale, Landscape Architects.
The application was approved by Dublin City Council and granted on appeal by An Bord Pleanála. The resulting development gives a sense of urban unity and identity to the Malahide Road frontage whilst also creating a successful new residential community.
