Drimnagh is located in south west Dublin City. Stephen Little & Associates have provided town planning advices to Cosgrave Developments for a mixed use development of 241 residential units, 132 live/work units and a 2 storey crèche building and office accommodation at this location.
This site is located adjacent to Drimnagh Castle, a Protected Structure and national monument and comprises the former disused Drimnagh Industrial Estate. The site is proximate to the Tallaght LUAS line.
The development comprises 373 residential units in a number of buildings ranging in height from 4-8 storeys. In addition, a crèche and office units are provided in a single building.
The task in this case was to balance the policy for encouraging higher density residential development proximate to public transport against the need to ensure the setting of Drimnagh Castle is protected.

Permission was granted for the mixed use development at Drimnagh by An Bord Pleanala in December 2005. The development is now fully constructed.
