Kilakee Road Helipad
Our client sought permission for a heli-pad and the landing and take off of a helicopter at their private residence in South County Dublin.
Stephen Little & Associates provided planning advice to the Applicant and served as the Agent throughout the lengthy planning process.
This case offered particular challenges given that the site proposed for such activities was in an area exhibiting sensitive landscape characteristics coupled with existing residential and agricultural land uses. Potential noise impacts were of particular concern to the Planning Authority and a rigorous assessment of this aspect of the proposed development was undertaken.
Stephen Little & Associates provided a number of town planning services for the development of a heli-pad and the taking off and landing of a helicopter. This included:
- Site Appraisal
- Pre planning meeting with South Dublin County Council
- Preparation and lodgement of planning application
- Preparation and lodgement of response to 3rd Party Appeal.
Permission was granted for this application by An Bord Pleanála following a 3rd Party Appeal. This decision set an important precedent for development of this nature particularly in areas with an established residential population.
